Security scanning
- Content validation: each file's signature must match its extension
- Script detection: flags JavaScript in PDFs and scripts or event handlers in SVG and HTML
- Macro detection: flags Office macros (vbaProject.bin)
- Archive safety: flags corrupt ZIPs, zip-bomb ratios and very large entry counts
- Blocked files cannot be converted until they are removed
These browser checks reduce risk but are not antivirus. Full malware scanning with ClamAV runs on the server and is on the roadmap. Clearing files removes them from this page, but the browser may not overwrite memory immediately.
Data Security
Free tools process files in your browser, so nothing is uploaded. Server jobs will be deleted after processing under a published retention policy.

- DAutomatic deletion: server files are removed after each job finishes, according to the retention policy.

High-Quality Conversions
The available options change with the selected tool, so image, PDF and spreadsheet jobs expose the controls that matter for that output.
- ESpecialist engines: open-source converters for each file type, including pdf-lib, pdf.js, SheetJS and JSZip in the browser, with LibreOffice, FFmpeg and Tesseract planned on the server.
- OPer-conversion controls: output format, maximum width, page ranges and page order.
- ✓Faithful output: colors and layout are kept for documents and images, with a white background applied when converting to JPG.
